Easter Eggs

The boys have really been into making Easter eggs. A few weeks ago, they happened to find the wire dipper we used last year somewhere hidden in the depths of our Entertainment center and have been talking about it ever since. Because we had other events going on this week, we decided to tackle the project on Monday evening. With Kylie being more involved this year, it definitely needed heavy involvement from both mom and dad!!! The boys and Kylie enjoyed simply placing them into the dye and waiting until we could dip them out. Mom enjoyed this simplicity too, but daddy usually has to spice things up a bit. . .He was convinced that we need to make two tone eggs and then wrap tape around them and experiment other ways. . .The kids threw up horrible objections wanting to keep them just the way they were, but Dan wouldn't give in. Alas, he got his way and they turned out very nice, but it just took a bit more of parental involvement:)

Bennet did a nice job of holding his eggs away from his face, but either we had eggs in front of faces or no one was looking at the camera. . .so I'll post all three photos I took. As you can see, all the kids are down to the bare minimum in case their was a spill!
