Kylie turns 5



Kylie's 5th birthday began. . .of course with breakfast in bed!  (only 1 hour after she woke up)

After church, we headed to the Grand Rios to their water park with a few of Kylie's friends.  They only allowed boughten cakes in there. . .I was off the hook for making one and Kylie was excited about a boughten cake:) 

Hannah and Taylor--the girls got braver as the day went on and went down the tube slides and even the body slides by the end!  I am certain they were exhausted as they climbed those steps well over 20 times!

After the party, the girls practically fell asleep in the chairs waiting for the cars to pick them up. . .wink, wink!

What a great day!

We can hardly believe Kylie is 5 and will begin Kindergarten next year.  She is growing up fast!   We are so thankful for the great addition she is to this family.  She loves, loves to help with anything and everything~the other day, I taught her how to clean toilets and she was so excited about it, it was the first thing she told Dan when he got home from work!  It was her idea to clean that day. . .we walked in the house after running errands and she said, "mom, let's clean this whole place!"  She also loves to mother. . .Thorin gets a lot of it and Avery isn't so fond of it, but Kylie still tries!  She is very gentle when someone gets hurt and often is the first one to offer comfort to the injured.  It is pretty sweet to see Avery lean in and hug her back when she is hurt.  Kylie also is into weddings and getting married right now.  Although she blushed when her friend Taylor gave her a Ken barbie for her birthday, she has played wedding non-stop!  Kylie also still loves to be active, dance and do tricks.  As we have gone to the community center gym, we have noticed how fast she really is!  Today she told me that she was faster than Caleb and Bennet and I almost believe her!  We love her and are blessed by having her in our family!
