We miss Florida!

Our days in FL started off chilly, but nothing like MN chilly. . .

So while it was cold we got lots of play time in doors in gpa and gma's condo.

We tried to make it feel warmer and go build sand castles on the beach at least. . .but it didn't last long.

Dan was trying to be positive and say it was warm enough to go in the ocean. 

Mom and Dad's condo was directly behind Dan and I.  They were on the 8th floor this year.  The kids called it the RT--It had that on the building and on the bottom of the pools.

Even though it was under 50 degrees, my fish still wanted to go swimming AT NIGHT!  So here it was 6:30 PM and COLD, but they were in the water.  And what a wonderful dad to volunteer to go with them so that I can sit in my sweatshirt (or two sweatshirts) and jeans and take pictures!!!

Dan and I did enjoy a night out at Pineapple Willies.  We got a great table over looking the ocean and could relax and enjoy conversation uninterrupted!

Grandma helped with the homework the boys had to do since they were missing school.  Caleb especially lacked a little desire (a polite way of putting it), but they both got the job done.

We did have some very nice days on the beach too!  Sand burying was fun for all the kids.

This is what happens when no one watches Avery for 2 whole minutes. . .she is off to find make-up--she has a general idea of where mascara goes!

Someone on the beach had the patience to make this cute car--the kids had to sit in it for a while!

Warm enough to enjoy being in our swimming suits!

We watched whoever this was make it and it took at least 2.5 hours!

The last time we ate at the condo before we left--it was hot!!!  so the kids enjoyed a picnic on the patio.

So much fun. . .Thanks gpa and gma for sharing your vacation with us!  We met some pretty interesting people while visiting there--it was very enjoyable to hear all their stories.  We even got to enjoy playing cards with a couple from Germany and Mesopotamia; they had to have an interpreter at their wedding and still 45 years later are enjoying their marriage.  Dan was also fascinated by the history that they lived through.  Good times!
