Leaves, Leaves EVERYWHERE!

Bennet and Caleb are old enough to really help with the raking this year!  We are very glad about this because we have a TON of leaves--they easily rake piles up to their thighs.  Check out the new house color!

We decided to make a pile that was as tall as them...again...we had plenty of leaves to do this!

Not just a skinny, tall pile but quite long as well!

They jumped in the tall pile and could only see their faces--good thing there is a fun side to all the work!

The neighbors came over to play and we made an even bigger LEAF FORT!

More neighbors gathered later when they saw the huge leaf pile.

I took this picture to show that we are not even finished with falling leaves.  I think we are about 1/2 done.  It also shows that we did not rake any leaves in the back half of the yard by the treefort.  So today we can add to our pile from the back half of the yard.

This is how high the leaves are compared to the tree.  You can also get a good idea of our new house color--we are thoroughly enjoying the new look and we only have 2 1/2 windows left to paint in the back which is further than Dan thought we would get this fall.  If anyone can figure out how to rotate pictures with this new blogging format, please let me know as i would love to be able to do that!
