This week has flown by and our house has gone pretty much unattended for the last few days! We have been very busy going to swimming lessons every morning and then we had something right after lessons everyday this week; Then after rest time in the afternoon which mom always hopes to put her feet up for a while, but that hasn't been happening. . ., we prepare for Back Yard Bible club! The boys loved hosting this club and asked if we could do it again--as the teachers were leaving, they asked them to come back some time again. A little Dutch Bingo happened as the mom of the teachers that came to our house grew up in Prinsburg! The pictures I am posting unfortunately are of our smallest day--we had the most kids on Monday and Tuesday. On our largest day we had 6 four-year-olds, 2 nearly 3-year-olds, 2 2 1/2- year-olds and 1 1-year-old. Being the "curriculum" is geared toward ages 4-12, this day was rather chaotic:) But the 4 year olds really sat and listened well. We were excited that some our neighbors that don't hang outside very much came out to join us on the first day!
Swimming lessons have been great for the boys too--they are really learning some strokes! It is really nice that all the kids in the class have individual helpers and then one overall teacher who explains what they are supposed to do. The boys are challenged by these lessons, but I am hoping they come away with some solid swim techniques--now we'll just have to try to use them, so they don't lose them! Kylie and I can swim in the part of the pool they aren't using, so of course we take advantage of that and even Kylie has been picking up some confidence in swimming (you can see she is able to keep herself a float with just a simple little floaty on her back); Although she does not really like getting her face wet and doesn't want to go under water--this is okay with me for now--I don't mind a little fear in one of my children:)
