Kylie on the beach the last day--I think it was about 74 degrees! We are missing that now!!

Caleb, Kylie, Avery, Bennet by the hot tub--it was kind of windy for Avery, so one of us usually took a turn just hanging out inside with Avery, but she did join us a couple of times!

touching a palm tree. . .

Hanging out in the pool.

The kids' names in the sand--the picture was taken from our 17th floor balcony (as Caleb called it, "The gulf porch" (for the Gulf of Mexico) We had to watch the kids though--one time Kylie threw a toy and it almost went off the edge of the balcony. . .the pool is right below, so we didn't want it to land on anyone's head!!!

Mom and Dad had a couple nights out without us while we were there too. . .I guess it was their vacation too:) Here they are ready to go play cards with some other friends of theirs.

Avery smiling big for the camera or daddy--she has lots of smiles for him!

One day we went to Mexico beach because you could find big seashells like these there.

We got quite a boxfull of shells! The boys were thrilled and got to see 7 jelly fish on that beach also! Kylie, Avery, mom and myself walked about a mile, but then returned to the car to feed Avery and hang out until the rest returned--it was a little chilly and we thought it was going to rain, but it never did!

Here is actually the sign for a different resort about a mile away on the beach from the one we stayed at. It would be good to stay here for a family--indoor/outdoor pool, mini golf, lazy river, they had park equipment on the beach (slides, etc.) Perhaps if we come again or make it a yearly vacation. . .(maybe wishful thinking:) )

Dan and I had a night out while Gpa and Gma babysat.

Grandpa and the girls--Avery's hair is long enough for pony/pigtails, but I don't usually have time for that:)

Checking out the waves--Bennet made me laugh--not sure why he has his shirt pulled up! Caleb and Kylie cried after a while that the salt water stung their legs. . .

in Memphis airport--on the way down there we had some wait time, but on the way back we had to run to catch our connecting flight! Not easy when we didn't check any baggage and had all our kids trying to carry something, but we made it!!

on the plane. . .
Vacation was great! It has been quite an adjustment to life again, but we are getting there. . .It was wonderful just to be able to swim, walk on the beach, play games and not think about anything else! I visited Dan's school today to hear some speakers on worldview and some staff members asked me how the vacation was, after hearing about it they said how Dan has come back a new person--well rested, more energized again. . . so that was good to hear! We all came back feeling ready to meet the challenges of life again--I guess that is why it is called a vacation:)
